Let me start this off by saying that I do not hate any of the LGBT, on the contrary I love them (hence why I am writing this blog).
I am compelled by my religious beliefs to make this blog (see Mathew 22:34-40).

As you may know I am a Messianic, I hold the Old Testament laws to still be in affect and worship Jesus Christ, so I may present arguments most Christians disagree with and possibly conflict with conservative Christian thinking.

So, if I may, I will address the most said thing I have found: Jesus never condemned being LGBT.
Here is my evidence from the Bible: Deuteronomy 22:5, Deuteronomy 23:1-2, Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, and last on my list but first in the Bible Genesis 1:27.
If you think I may have taken these out of context let me know on this blog or a PM entitled to this discussion, anywhere else someone confronts me on these verses I will not respond.

Although, some might say "That is Old Testament, we're New Testament now.", well to them I quote this "I will make my dwelling among you, and my soul shall not forsake you." Leviticus 26:11. If you believe in the Holy Trinity, you cannot reject the teachings of the Father and only follow the teachings of the Son; for they are the same. We may have sinned and forsaken God, but He will never forsake us. He has given us the chance to repent and proclaim Jesus Christ as God.

Now, I say to you in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, join me my brethren and let us worship and glorify the King of kings together. God bless and forgive all the sinners of this world.

It took me a bit to find this, but I corrected Divine Crusader's obvious mistake of featuring this blog, and also I undeleted it.

Anyway, as for the debate we were having in the comments here, I already addressed every point that you made with this blog in my own, and for all those interested in understanding a pro-2SLGBTQIA+ interpretation of Scripture, I highly recommend reading it.
(And it was certainly harder to get it featured than this one was, lol!)

Because when it comes to religion and the LGBTQ it just doesn’t mix, people get mad or upset because you have that ONE person who’s a bible thumper who has to come in and spill the “righteous opinions of the Bible” Please do us a favor and just delete this? Because this is going to turn into a shit show real fast and in a heartbeat

hey let’s not use books from thousands of years ago and have been re-translated in like six different languages like it’s something that needs to be taken seriously

you don’t get to “disagree” with lgbt. It’s not something people can control. and most certainly none of your business what people are or how they choose to live.

you don’t respect lgbt because a book said to. you respect them because it’s the right thing to do.

im not religious but i know Jesus was a real guy and he would absolutely despise modern christians. Yall are a joke lmfao

Can we not talk about religion when it comes to the LGBTQ? I feel like religion and sexuality should be separated because it’s TWO different subjects. Same with state and religion that should be separated as well. Believe what you want to believe but I wouldn’t post on a site like this knowing it’s going to cause an uproar

The 'New Covenant' is a renewal of the Old Covenant, like a part 2 of 3.

The commandment about not wearing linen with wool is a commandment so people will not imitate the High Priests attire.

The eunuch the writer of Mathew is referring to isn't a transgender person like we think, he was a servant of the Queen of Ethiopia, so he had his privates removed (Deuteronomy 23:1) as to be careful of not assaulting the queen.
As we know though, he was forgiven by our lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, I used Genesis 1:27 and Deuteronomy 22:5 together. Also, I am referring to all of the LGBTQIA+ when I say LGBT; so I am also talking about the people who say they have ze/zem/zer pronouns and stuff like that.

Intersex people do have a dominant part of them (i.e. a male without genitals) so that is what he is, but I think if he is devout in Christ he will get a renewed body as all devout people will.

Also, the Torah was written to a majority male audience. So we could assume both gendered homosexuality is condemned.
Another not on that, Leviticus 18 doesn't explicitly condemn sleeping with your fathers mothers sister, but it was obviously wrong.

My sources are of my own findings, I am actually a historian part-time.

You seem to have done quite a bit of research for this (more than I have ATM), but I can already tell you that I disagree with your interpretations of many of these verses, especially Deuteronomy 22:5 given its inherently subjective nature.
(Does the Bible actually define what constitutes appropriate male and female attire? And are cisgender people of faith even abiding by the traditional definitions of those things today outside of LGBTQIA+ people?)

Also, although Genesis 1:27 (which is basically the basis for your particular interpretation of Deuteronomy 22:5) is arguably problematic for non-binary people, it doesn't necessarily impact trans people at all, since the whole basis for transgenderism is the idea that trans people are just males and females in bodies that don't match their actual gender.
(And the elephant in the room here is intersex people, of course.)

I'll say more once I've done more research on my end. Still, although I certainly have mixed feelings about what you're doing here, I'll go ahead and like this blog since it's a VAST improvement over your previous attempt at doing this.

I shared this article with you in a comment on your previous blog about this stuff, and it addresses some of the same problems with your interpretation of those 2 verses that I mentioned before, as well as how (from a Christian perspective) Matthew 19:12 (and also certain translations of Isaiah 56:5) directly contradicts Deuteronomy 23:1.
(IDK what precisely Deuteronomy 23:2 is referring to or how it relates to LGBTQIA+ people, though.)

Also, although it's from an obviously biased source (a Communist wiki website), I found this interesting:

“...Biblical condemnations of homosexuality come from the Old Testament, specifically Leviticus (Along with not eating shrimp, Leviticus 11:10, and not wearing clothes made of multiple materials, Leviticus 19:19) and later apostles such as St Paul. Back then, many people in Ancient Rome disapproved of gay marriage before Christianity came along. Lastly, I'm curious what your interpretation of Hebrews 8:13 is as a Messianic Jew?
