When you join any online community, it is inevitable that you will come across trolling in some form. This blog will not only define trolling, but will introduce to you another type of trolling which isn't just a bigger picture, but a whole new picture itself.
Many users here ask this question or a variation of it: "What is a troll?" A troll is someone who visits online communities for the purpose of posting intentional off-topic discussions, and to cause anger and uproar among users. These users are hungry for a harsh reply, which brings us to feeding trolls.
Feeding trolls is what fuels them to continue their 'fun'. When a troll posts a message and users reply to them, giving them even the least bit of visible attention, it becomes a morsel of tasty food to them. Simply ignoring trolls is the best way to get rid of them.
Now, there is a different field of 'trolling' altogether. This is when a non-troll, sound user plays along with noobs or real trolls. In fact, this isn't true trolling, and I honestly don't know how it got the term. In a situation where users get to know the site, and wish to continue their disobedience to the rules, trolling may occur, with users playing along while staying within the boundaries of the rules.
That concludes this blog. It should help you discern between true and artificial trolls. And if not, it was good literature anyway.
