The Abyss flicked his fingers and a black hole twice as large as the girl appeared in front of her. She swerved, but the tail of her comet got caught. She used all of the strength possible to escape his grasp, but the black hole was slowly swallowing her in. It was sucking her energy in a slow painful way. She yelled out in agony.
"Agh! Brother!"
The boy quickly flew towards her, he raised his pole and hit the tail of her comet as hard as he could. It shattered into dust.
The girl flew her comet behind her brother and fell on her knees.
"I'm sorry, brother. I-I didn't mean to--"
"No apology is needed. Rest for a second, I will go fight him off."
"A-alright."
The boy then flew towards the Abyss. He noticed the flick of the fingers and saw that it wasn't like the flick he did for the girl. He assumed it was a different spell-- and he assumed correctly.
Many small black holes apeared around him, but instead of attempting to suck him in, they all began to shoot rocks burning with fire at him. He began to fight them off, using his pole.
His sister behind him, now noticed the Abyss putting his arm behind his back. He was off guard! She stood and flew up behind him. Raised her sword, and hit him. Or she thought she did. She had actually collided with an explosion the Abyss created for her. Bright, burning light hit her face. She tried to opening her eyes. She was floating, her comet smashed completely to dust. She then lost all strength, all will to fight. She closed her eyes.
"No!"
The boy yelled out in anger. He crushed all of the rocks and flew to his sister. Lifting her gently onto his back. He then fled, as far away as he could.
Once he stopped, the boy let her down and held her tightly in a hug.
"It is not the time for us to win this battle. But I will keep on fighting for you."
He then thought of the perfect person to leave her with. He put the girl onto his back again, and continued his journey.
