Note; I'm not gonna include the ãã›ã‹ãˆ (Kisekae) ones since they're *kind* of a different series of plates. & there are 76 of them. I may in a future blog tho'. Also some plates below are both ãã›ã‹ãˆ & special edition, which is why they're included here.
With the release of the *NEW* 3DS came a new customization feature-- being able to swap the cover plates! This, in my opinion, is a wonderful idea. A way to make my 3DS even more unique & feel more like it's exclusively mine? Yes please.
Unfortunately, the *NEW* 3DS XLs didn't get the custom cover treatment, because of Nintendo wanting to put out limited edition consoles. But at least we got tons of covers for the normal sized *NEW* 3DS. So, here I am, reviewing them.
Sure they'll be reviewed to my taste, so please, if you disagree with any of my choices-- feel free to give in your two cents.
also Nintendo please be more a little creative with naming your systems please, ily
How this works;
I'll be rating the cover plates based on 2 traits --which I'll be referring to as traits A & B-- on a scale of 1-5 each.
A) How independent the plates in a design can be individually without relying on the other for the full design.
B) How interesting & unique the design is.
Then i'll combine the two scores, resulting in the final rating being on a scale of 1-10. Along with anything I may have to say on the design.

Finding pictures of some of these plates was actually pretty hard. Especially good quality ones.

How much are the Ambasstor and Dragon Ball Cases on amazon? Those two look sick. Overall, thanks for these reviews, Hullbreach should make a Gaming News Page.
Personally, I think this is very helpful, not only because of the information or the pictures, but also for simply letting people know just how many choices there are out there.
Personally, my favorites are the Blastoise/Blue Version and Primal Kyogre/α Sapphire Version ones, although I do wish they had made a Rayquaza one.
I love it when handhelds have more flatter and simpler designs, like the 'Colorful Star' one. It's simplicity fit the flat surface so well. And for a handheld with more defining features that are present elsewhere from the background its just perfect. The 3D renders and character backgrounds are kind of just there to flex your favorite Nintendo character. This blog is deemed 100% facts.
