You are not supposed to make Bulletin Board threads to test anything. If you want to test a BBCode, use your profile.
Also, since it appears you're from England, I'll help you out and tell you that the BBCode for "colors" uses the American spelling of the word, and you don't capitalize the color name. It works like this (without the spaces):
[ color=blue]Text[ /color ]
