My Birthdays's is 2 months after March so I'll get the 3DS. HECK! I have a DSi and Idc about BIG SCREENS! What matters is the epicness of the handheld.

Anyway, I do plan to purchase the current model at some point. If a lighter, sleeker version comes out, there will definitely be a long delay before I even think about upgrading. A larger version similar to the DSi XL, though, has always seemed contrary to the idea of a handheld device, so it's unlikely that I would consider getting something that won't fit in my pocket.

It's true that a size difference probably wouldn't be possible, but a "Lite" version might possibly improve battery power, screen size, weight, and ergonomic design. Given Nintendo's tendency to "improve" their handhelds, it's not out of the question.

i think it a wast of time waiting for something that might won't come true. you could just buy the 3DS then when there a 3DSXL then sell you're old 3DS and trade it for a 3DSXL and if that won't help then try selling it for money then that leave you almost the same much for the 3DSXL.
